We have been chosen as a “Cool School” by WFSB Channel 3 Eyewitness News Anchor Mike Hydeck. On Friday morning, February 12, from 5:00am to 7:00am, the Eyewitness Morning News will be broadcast live from the Lauralton Hall gymnasium. The Morning News will feature a number of really “cool” activities that go on at Lauralton Hall. Several of our clubs will be featured along with the incredible school spirit that is displayed by the student body every day.
We are asking our students to voluntarily arrive in the gym in perfect uniform between 4:30am and 4:45am on February 12. We will be given directions regarding our participation on the Morning Show. The broadcast will begin promptly at 5:00am and end at 7:00 am. Students will then have the opportunity to eat breakfast and relax before beginning the school day. The students will not be attending any academic classes after the broadcast. A committee of teachers, led by Mrs. Waldron and Mrs. Gibson, is planning enjoyable community activities that will run until dismissal at approximately 11:15am.
We do understand that some students may have transportation issues and will not be able to be here before 5:00am. We would encourage every student to be here as early as possible, to enjoy the morning with us.
This is a great opportunity for fun and has generated much excitement among students and faculty. Be sure to tune in next Friday to see a really “Cool School” in action!
Winter Break office hours
During winter break school offices will be closed on Monday, February 15, for Presidents Day and will be open Tuesday, February 16, through Friday, February 20, from 7:30 a.m. until noon.
